Ronchi di Cialla Rosato 2019: Friuli, Italy
Region/History Notes: You might have tried the Friulano grape by this producer that was one of my Spring wines, this rosé is just as good! Rosato is the Italian name for rosé. This rosato is made from the Refosco grape, native to this area of Friuli in the North-East corner of Italy. A bright and herbaceous, lighter red, and perfect grape for rosé apparently!
Tasting Notes: The nose!!! I can’t get enough! Strawberries, rhubarb, and cream. Hints of tangerines & orange creamsicles, just crazy expressive and super delightful. Sweet herbs like tarragon and sage are woven through too, this might be my new favorite rosé. Whatever you have or want to have, this wine will be a perfect pairing, just enjoy it.
