Peyrassol “La Croix des Templiers” Rosé 2019: South of France

Grape: Grenache/Cinsault/Viognier

Region/History Notes: Indication Géographique Protégée (IGP) is a wine classification for French wine that is just above table wine status and can be some of the best value wines out there! Usually, higher-end wineries will create a 2nd or 3rd label so they can declassify higher-end fruit, break some rules, and create some delicious and approachable wines. Peyrassol is one of the oldest wineries in the area and makes exceptional wines. Look out for anything Rosenthal imports- it’s always amazing.

Tasting Notes: Despite its super pale color, this wine is juicy and fruit-forward and got some serious spunk to it! I finished the bottle in record time it was so easy to drink. Enjoy with whatever is in your fridge! This is why second labels are important to watch out for- they are such a steal and over-deliver every time.
