Region/History Notes: Edna Valley, California is known for its cool climate- due to the fog rolling in every day, volcanic soils, and long growing season. Complex and age-worthy cool-climate grapes like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir thrive in this environment.
Tasting Notes: This is not your flashy, oaky/butter Chardonnay, nor is it your stainless steel, granny smith apple style either. Perfectly situated in the middle, the wine is medium-bodied with a rich mouthfeel like lemon meringue and notes of apples, pears, and some tropical hints of mango and banana but definitely on the reserved side of the spectrum. Pair with grilled pork tenderloin, seared salmon, lemon chicken piccata, or any pasta with cream sauce.
